Disco Toccata by Petri Makkonen for Free Bass Accordion shows dazzling brilliance on the white keys and zippy, syncopated rhythms exploiting the broad stretch permitted by the accordion manuals. Technically the work demands the utmost dexterity in both hands. As its name suggests, Disco Toccata was to some extent inspired by contemporary rhythm music.
