Clouds by Heikki Valpola was written at the request of Matti Rantenen in order to fill a five minute slot for a radio recording that he was planning. Following the knock at the door, Heikki Valpola presented the suite to Matti Rantenen the following evening. The pieces are miniature mood pieces, a dreamlike story of fleeting clouds.
